Most people are looking for a way to lose weight and keep it off. Now that people have discovered the low carb and high protein diet it seems to be working great for most individuals. Nuts are perfect for snacks and just to sprinkle on a salad. However, you can overdo it with the nuts. So, it is important to use portion control and limit yourself to how many you can have a day. Carrots are actually pretty high especially for those who might be following strict intake numbers on the plan.

Plan on treat days. But, by all means avoid treats as in food. It is easy to get off track by having a few bad foods, stay on track. Splurge on yourself and do something nice for sticking to your lifestyle changes. Purchase yourself a new outfit or something that you want to make your cooking or life easier in the kitchen.

Avoid the scales like the plague. You do not need to get on the scales and weigh yourself every day. Some people can do it, but if you are like most individuals you become discouraged when the numbers are not reading the right way for you. Instead take notice of how your clothes feel and fit. You might notice inches lost before weight loss.

Do not feel bad about putting the jerky in your diet. It is one snack that you are allowed to have and can feel good eating it. So, find all the different types of flavors and stock up.
