Chickens are a subspecies of the Red Jungle fowl and one of the most common domestic animals. They breed fast and do not require too much up keep. It is no wonder that the one dish chicken recipes are becoming very popular.

The meat can be used in such a large variety of dishes from soups, stews, chillies as well as salad and it is also very healthy. Everyone needs to have selenium in their system. It has a high antioxidant property which is very important in protecting the cells throughout the body from being damaged. Many that suffer from arthritis, infertility as well as asthma are given doses of this. However if taken in large doses over a long period of time it is thought to increase the risk of non-melanoma cancer of the skin. Anything that is over the 400 micrograms daily in adults is considered to be an overdose. The meat will cover the recommended amount as they are high in this mineral.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and mix the margarine and crumbs together and press into a pie dish about the size of 20 cm by 20cm the depth must be more than 5cm. Whisk the egg whites until very stiff and spoon this over the top. If one wants cheese sprinkle this on the top over the egg whites. Leave in the oven for twenty minutes until the topping has turned a light brown.

Depending on the amount of ingredients that one will need the one dish recipes can vary from ten minutes to an hour to prepare. With the hectic life that everyone leads the quicker the better. Include different vegetables and white sauce and it is a filling dish suitable for even the hungriest of connoisseurs around.
