Easy Fruit N Nut Chocolate Truffles Recipe For Kids

Dessert keeps people going, there is just something in it that makes you happy. People craving for sweets mostly think of desserts like cakes, instead of candies and chocolates. Now, one cannot always find the most scrumptious and guilt pleasure dessert. Fruit N nut chocolate truffles which will definitely melt inside your mouth does not come in all boxes, you have to make it yourself.

Among all sweets, chocolate is the top most favorite. This is why you can find a lot of desserts made out of chocolates. Chocolates are even presented as gifts, that is how popular it is. One dessert that can satisfy your sweet craving and can be presented as a gift is truffle. Kids and adults, no matter what age they are will surely love this.

Now, that everyone has the time and the energy to do that. Others are even on a budget, so even when they want to eat some dessert, they do not just have the money for it. There is a solution for that, and that would be to make a dessert of your own. Yes, many of you may think that doing your very own can be expensive compared to buying, and it is even time consuming.

The ingredients you need to prepare. Six ounces chocolate, semi sweet and chopped, use white chocolate as an alternative. Two tablespoons butter, heavy cream one fourth cup, one cup chocolate or white chocolate chips semisweet, nuts and fruits finely chopped. Make sure you roast the nuts before chopping.

Steps. First, prepare a baking sheet by with aluminum foil. Then, in a saucepan, melt chocolate first, then put in the whipping cream and the butter next, make sure to stir it constantly. Once melted and smooth, pour it in another bowl and refrigerate for ten to fifteen minutes. Keep on stirring until it becomes thick.

Second, put teaspoonfuls of that mixture in the lined cookie sheet and refrigerate this again for five minutes, enough for the mixture to become firm for shaping afterwards. Once firm, shape into balls and freeze for thirty minutes. While waiting for your balls to freeze, melt shortening together with the chocolate chip in a low fire, keep on stirring until there are no lumps and smooth.

Third, dip your chocolate balls to the chocolate you melted earlier. Already coated balls should be placed in cookie sheets. Sprinkle them with the nuts and fruits. Do the same process again and again until no more mixture is left. In order for its coating to set in, put it in again in your refrigerator. Before serving your truffles, remove it from the fridge 10 minutes ahead.

What to know. The shortening is important because this will help the coating to set, so it does not melt easily. Hence, make sure you use the right shortening. If your purpose of creating this is to present such as gift, put each truffle in some decorative cup to avoid them from bumping into one another.

Put parchment in a baking sheet. Scoop a spoonful of mixture and put it into the sheet you prepared. After dividing the mixture, roll them into round, smooth balls. Last step is to roll the balls in sanding sugar. Make sure you keep your truffles refrigerated and keep them in airtight containers so it may last for three days.
